Mentelity Games Kick-Off: An afternoon full of smiling faces!

Participants of the Mentelity Games got a taste of the real thing during the Kick-Off of the 2020 edition. At SnowWorld in Zoetermeer, a fun-filled afternoon of snow fun was scheduled. 

As the March 2020 edition was postponed due to the coronavirus, the idea arose to go to the snow with the participants to get a taste of the atmosphere for the upcoming edition. Together with a group of volunteers and racers from the Hoh Saas Race (the fundraiser for the Mentelity Games) there was a joint lunch on the terrace of SnowWorld.

After lunch it was time to adjust the sit skis, put on the snow boots or click the skis under for the first meters on the slopes. For some participants it was the first time in a zitski or on a snowboard, so that made for tense faces. After the teachers' explanations and help from the guides, that tension soon turned into smiles. And that smile didn't disappear for the rest of the afternoon.

Afterwards there was still room to talk about the experiences and enjoy a drink in the sun. Participants went home with a satisfied feeling. Let us all hope that in 2021 we can all experience this great feeling again, but then during the Mentelity Games in the Swiss mountains in Saas-Grund.
