Mentelity Foundation and IT4Kids join hands for Mentelity Snowboard School

Bibian Mentel's Mentelity Foundation and IT4Kids are teaming up to enable children and young people with physical challenges to play sports. The first project to be launched together is the third location of the Mentelity Snowboard School, which will open in Landgraaf in September. The Snowboard School will be opened by the first ambassador of the Mentelity Foundation: field hockey star Marijn Veen!

IT4Kids is a foundation dedicated to helping children for whom sport and play are not obvious due to financial or physical limitations. IT4Kids collects used and depreciated hardware and, on behalf of the donor, donates its value to charity projects dedicated to providing sporting opportunities to disadvantaged children. Companies or individuals can contact IT4Kids here and indicate their desire to donate the amount raised specifically to Mentelity Foundation projects.

In September, in cooperation with IT4Kids, the third Mentelity Snowboard School will open during a special Snowboard Fund Day. Participants will then be able to learn about the sport. Collete Zee, director of IT4Kids is pleased with the collaboration. "This project fits perfectly with IT4Kids' vision," she says. "Bibian's story is so incredibly inspiring and we are looking forward to this collaboration with great energy."

First Ambassador Mentelity Foundation: Marijn Veen
Marijn Veen, field hockey star of AH&BC Amsterdam and the Dutch Team, will be the first official ambassador of the Mentelity Foundation. She will open the third location of the Mentelity Snowboard School on September 12. "I am so extremely lucky to be physically able to do what I do," said Marijn. "If I can contribute something to the mental and physical development of these amazing kids in this way, I am very, very happy to do so."

Bibian and Marijn feel like getting involved together for people with physical challenges.

The collaboration between IT4Kids, Marijn IT4Kids and the Mentelity Foundation came about thanks to TalentEmpowerment (TE). The organization has only one goal: to give top talent maximum support and guidance to get the most out of their sporting and social careers. Of course with that one ultimate goal: participating in the Olympic Games.

Both TE, IT4Kids and the Mentelity Foundation are excited about the new partnership. "I see every day the impact we can make for children and that's why I am extremely happy that we can open this new location," said Bibian Mentel, founder of the Mentelity Foundation. "I am enormously looking forward to Sept. 12 and working with our first official ambassador Marijn, IT4Kids and TE."
