Personal care and care
The Mentelity Games organization maintains the rule that each participant is responsible for his or her own personal care and any care needed. Should you need your own caregivers on the trip, please inquire about travel and cost options and email your question to thijs@mentelity.org.
Location and Route.
The Mentelity Games are organized in Saas Grund, Switzerland. Each participant will be told before departure which accommodation he or she is assigned to and the exact address. Should you come with your own transportation, we advise you to take the car train Lötschbergbahn to cross the mountains between Kandersteg and Goppenstein.
You can also choose to travel to Saas Grund by train. There is also a good (direct) train connection from Utrecht to Basel; from Basel take the train via Bern to Visp. From Visp, the Postbus takes 42 minutes to Saas Grund. Total travel time then comes down to about 9:30 hours.
Bus
Do you opt for a Mentelity Busticket? Then keep in mind that the bus leaves late Sunday evening, March 26, in the Bilthoven area and drops everyone off there Saturday, April 1. The bus is wheelchair accessible.
Equipment and fitting days
Participants requiring adapted ski equipment will be provided by the Mentelity Games organization. For seated skiers a number of fitting days will be organized for choosing the right equipment. This will be done at the VGW in Huizen. It is important that you attend one of these days. Other equipment can be rented in Switzerland.
Packing List
What do you need to take with you on winter vacation? To be well prepared for your trip, we have created a packing list for you. This way you can be sure you have everything you need in your bag.
Corona
The organization always monitors the developments surrounding the corona virus and follows the then current corona measures of Switzerland and the Netherlands. Should it be considered unsafe to continue the trip, the organization may cancel the trip.

Monday, March 27:
4:30 p.m. - Welcome meeting - Après-Ski Bar parking lot Bergbahnen Saas-Grund
On Monday the participants will arrive in Switzerland and there will be a short opening meeting at 16:30. Here the ski passes will also be handed out and you will receive the latest info.
Tuesday, March 28

Push your own limits and take a leap of faith. On Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday you can use the BigAirBag and take the leap off the ski jump. Do you dare?
7 p.m. - Cheese fondue(ticket required) - Restaurant Bergheimat
Enjoying a real Swiss specialty? Then join the cheese fondue evening at Bergheimat. Delicious food and the ideal warm-up for bingo night. There are a limited number of places, so be quick.
21:00 - Bingo evening - Restaurant Bergheimat
Win great prizes during the bingo evening. After last year's successful edition it is already a tradition. Free entrance for everyone. Drinks are on your own account. Will you fall in the prizes or will it be singing by a false bingo?

Wednesday evening, March 29 - Bibians Memorial Night
On March 29, 2021 Bibian Mentel, founder of the Mentelity Foundation passed away. To commemorate this two years later in a beautiful way, we organize Bibians Memorial Night. Tickets cost €35 for children under 12 and €45 for others. Included is dinner at the restaurant on the mountain, participation in a torchlight procession (or as a spectator), the gondola ride down and a closing drink. Persons who do not wish to attend and therefore do not purchase a ticket should take the gondola down at 4:30 p.m. You can purchase tickets here.

End the week at our slalom competition and put into practice the skills you've learned. Open to all levels, so join in nicely with your lesson group.

20:00 - Closing party - Bar/disco Platzhirsch
End the week in a fun way at this party in the Platzhirsch. Together with all travel companions and volunteers we'll end the Games banging!
